New research reveals that reading is top hobby for teenage girls

New information revealed by The Insights People at the London Book Fair shows that reading is the most popular hobby amongst teenage girls. Girls aged 13-18 have named reading as their favourite hobby, followed by swimming, listening to music, and dancing.

Nielsen Children's Book Summit has presented a very encouraging picture of what's going on in the children's book world. Children's sales have been rising steadily and, as previously noted, the sales of children's books in the UK market recently exceeded sales of Adult Fiction. YA comes of age

The UK's first ever Young Adult Literature Convention will take place at the London Film and comic Con 2014 from 12 to 13 July.
