The London Book Fair/Daily Mail Masterclasses are running again this year in conjunction with The Arvon FoundationThe celebrated Arvon creative writing courses cover four and a half days and range from Novel Writing to Starting to Write. Some grants are available. (http://www.arvonfoundation.org). The LBF is much earlier this year, so the Masterclasses are on Saturday 4th March at ExCel, the Fair’s new venue in Docklands.
As usual, there’s a distinguished line-up of successful authors taking part in the Masterclasses, which cover writing fiction, writing for the screen and writing for children. So, if you want to meet and question successful authors, or learn top tips from the leading experts, the Masterclasses are for you.
The line-up is as follows:
Writing for Screen
10.30am -1.30pm
Authors including Christopher Hampton, Amy Jenkins, Deborah Moggach and Tim Firth.
Writing Fiction (1)
10.30am – 1.30pm
Authors including Margaret Atwood, Joanna Trollope and Sara Paretsky
Writing for Children
2.30pm – 5.30pm
Authors including Geraldine McCaughrean, Siobhan Dowd, Meg Rosoff and Philip Ardagh
Writing Fiction (2)
2.30pm – 5.30pm
Authors including Helen Dunmore, Monica Ali and Hari Kunzru
