Competition Judge: Zaffar Kunial

Zaffar Kunial's debut pamphlet was published by Faber & Faber in 2014 as part of the Faber New Poets series. In the same year he became the Wordsworth Trust Poet-in-Residence. He has twice been a prize-winner in the National Poetry CompetitionAnnual poetry prize run by the UK-based Poetry Society established in 1978; accepts entries from all over the world; over 10,000 poems submitted each year. He left his full-time job as a ‘Creative Writer' for Hallmark Cards when he won a Northern Writers' Award in 2013. In 2015 he won the Geoffrey Dearmer Prize. He lives in Hebden Bridge.
