LONDON - Digital books on tablets, smartphones, and devices like Amazon's Kindle are certainly convenient, but according to a new survey most people still prefer a good old fashioned paper book. There's just something satisfying about turning the page and holding a physical book in one's hands, as over two-thirds of adults say they always opt for a real book over digital reading.

Are people reading the e-books they purchase from companies such as Amazon, Barnes and Noble or Kobo? There is growing research data that is supporting the notion that people are not reading the digital titles they buy online and for the most part, they are never even opened.

"It's important to understand we are creating a radically new ebook distribution platform. It's a new way of thinking. Our philosophy is ‘radical simplicity': we deliver all books, to all people, all the time, you can download online and offline, and keep them on the device forever, it's raining books," says Yoav Lorch, CEO of the Tel Aviv-based ebook platform Total BooX.  Read more
