PayPal, owned by eBay, provides a
secure payment option for those using credit cards.
To use it, you need to join
the PayPal system but this takes no more
time than a normal card payment.
If you are a PayPal member, all you need is your password and the email
address you registered with (your computer might have stored this for
you).
If you have not used PayPal you can sign up before ordering or use the 'is
this your first time' button to join while you order.
The advantage is that the next time you use PayPal, and tens of thousands of
sites accept it, all you need is your password.
Just before you pay there is a cancel button. If you
abandon the order before then you will get an error message when you leave the secure
server.

You will be taken to their site and asked to complete the
details when you do. (Remember, if it is your first time using PayPal, you will have to sign in)
Pick a secure password that you can remember without writing it down.
Don't fall for the old scam and hand over your password in response to an official looking
email - IT'S A SECRET SO DON'T TELL ANYBODY, EVER!
Occasionally, secure payments are not available.
The cause is normally an 'attack' such as 'denial-of-service'.
These can last hours or a few days. if you cannot wait, please use one of the
other payment options.
