Our Editor's Report

Are you looking for feedback on your work and constructive professional advice on how to improve it?

Our editor will look at content, style and storyline, and give an assessment of your chances of getting your work published.

If you think the Reader's Report will not provide enough detail on how to improve your manuscript and get it into publishable shape, the longer and fuller Editor's Report may be what you need.

	The Editor's Report offers a more detailed critique than the Reader's Report. (You do not have to commission a Reader's Report first, but we offer a reduced cost to those who have done so, as the Editor's Report will usually then take less time).
	The editor will be an experienced professional with many years of experience in editing and the skill to advise you on how to improve your manuscript.
	The Editor's Report will provide you with constructive criticism and specific suggestions, showing how you can rework your manuscript to improve it and make it more likely to find a publisher. If you think you might need to do a substantial amount of work on your manuscript, or if you just feel that you want a fuller and more detailed report, then the Editor's Report will provide the input you may need.

What it costs

The fee for the Editor's Report is £150 for manuscripts under 100,000 words, £180 for 100,000 to 150,000 words and £210 for 150,000 to 200,000 words. On non-fiction we charge £170 for up to 100,000 words, £200 for 100,00 to 150,000 words and £230 for 150,00 to 200,000 words.

This fee is payable in advance.

We will have to quote individually on longer manuscripts. We also reserve the right to quote a higher fee if the job will be particularly complex. If this is the case, we will email you with the revised fee and you can agree to go ahead or have the fee already paid for the Editor's Report refunded. We would normally expect to email the Editor's Report to you within two weeks of receipt of your order.

Please send your manuscript as one unzipped Word file, unless it is over 125,000 words, when we recommend splitting it into two files.
