Gather.com First Chapters Writing Competition
This is open to all writers resident in the US who have not published a
full-length book (not counting self-publishing and vanity press).
Deadline 15 March 2007, but better to submit earlier
Entrants must submit the first three chapters of their novel, which will be
voted for online,, chapter by chapter, until the last round, when it will be
judged by prominent figures in the publishing world.
First Prize: a publishing contract with Touchstone/Simon & Schuster, a
$5,000 cash prize from Gather.com and promotion and distribution by Borders.
