V S Pritchett Memorial Prize

This prize offers £1,000 for the best unpublished short story, together with publication in The London Magazine.

New deadline 28 February 2007.

The Prize commemorates an author who is widely regarded as the finest English short-story writer of the 20th century.

It  is supported by Chatto & Windus, V S Pritchett’s publishers, and awarded by the Royal Society of Literature.

Entry is restricted to writers from the UK and Republic of Ireland. Stories must be between 2,000 and 5,000 words in length.
