Masterclasses

Sponsored by the Daily Mail and run in conjunction with English Pen, the London Book Fair is following up on last year’s successful Masterclasses with three more Writing Masterclasses on 13th and 14 March at Olympia, London.

Screenwriting for Cinema

Saturday 13 March

2-5pm

The tutors will be Julian Fellowes, who won an Oscar for his screenplay for Gosford Park, and Anthony Minghella, who won an Oscar for Best Director and Best Film for The English Patient and whose most recent project was the much-acclaimed Cold Mountain.

Writing for Television

Sunday 14 March

10am-1pm

The tutors will be Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran, who have been working together for more than 25 years and have created more than a dozen hit TV series, including Birds of a Feather and Love Hurts.

Crime Writing

Sunday 14 March

2-5pm

The tutors for this one will be Minette Walters, the bestselling British crime writer who has recently received her second Golden Dagger for Fox Evil and Mark Billingham, author of the successful crime novels featuring London-based Detective Inspector Tom Thorne.
