Rob Gunns Synopsis 'Clipped'
Synopsis
A psychopath is on the loose in Bangkok. The ‘Clipper Killer’ has murdered six women and snipped off their faces with nail clippers. Joe Cross, young and ambitious, arrives in the sweltering, polluted city to close a multi-million pound deal. At the last minute it falls through and Joe must renegotiate with Wichai Thammawattana, the super-rich son of the Thai Prime Minister. As meetings progress Joe starts to suspect that Wichai is the killer. When Joe discovers his company is on the brink of bankruptcy he knows that thousands of jobs as well as his own reputation depend on getting Wichai to sign. Unwilling to jeopardise the negotiations on a hunch Joe secretly starts investigating. When he is beaten up and threatened by strangers and then double-crossed by the British Embassy Joe realises he is being used as a pawn in a high-stakes power game of money, corruption and international politics. Instead of becoming the hero of his company Joe finds himself accused of murder and on the run in a strange city, hunted by the Thai police, British Secret Service and the sadistic ‘Clipper Killer.’
