Good script-editing is the key!

Before recording

You need to get the written story ready for reading.

Ideally, the story needs to fit into a slot. Why do we have slots?

After you have the recording

Once you have managed to record your story then you will be able to edit it.

The audio software has many of the features that make them look and feel very similar to from your word-processor. It is easier than you imagine.

"Know your audience".

It is easy to say but hard to do. We like to do what we like. Pleasing an audience who might have other preferences and a different agenda can provide some creative tension. Your audience are the ones asking questions.

What does this mean? Why are they telling me this? Do I care? Is it good?

If you can afford to be self-indulgent then your work will probably have a very small audience. Challenge yourself, make demands of the team, listen to your critics. The end product will be so much better. So get editing
