The Writer’s Handbook

WritersServices, the website for writers, is pleased to announce that it has reached agreement with Pan Macmillan to publish the UK and US literary agents' listings for the 2002 edition of The Writer’s Handbook. Over 300 agents are listed with advice on the type of work to send and how to approach each agent.

'This is an invaluable resource for new writers who are looking for agents,' said Chris Holifield, one of the founders of WritersServices. 'We recognise how hard it is to get work published. But making the lists available online for the first time will help writers identify agents who might be able to handle their kind of writing.'.

Further assistance for new writers to help reach their goal of a publication contract is provided by the services offered on the website. These include reading and editorial reports undertaken by WriterServices' team of experienced freelance editors.

'To stand the best chance, work presented to an agent should be in the best possible shape. First impressions count. Having an expert review their work should improve its chances if writers follow the editors' advice.'
