There's good news about AI, writes Trevor Dolby
Let us begin by stating the bleedin' obvious: publishers are in the business of recognising original talent. Well, you say, there's very little of that around - truly original talent. Everything stands on the shoulders of something. How about putting wheels on a suitcase? That's genius. Isn't a book "original" if it's written with elegance, style, verve and humour, with a unique character? I would say most novels have originality, if they thrill us and surprise us, manage to "transmit emotion". It's a gift unique to humans.
